Hydrafacial

A hydrafacial is one of the most powerful, non-invasive skin resurfacing treatments available today. It combines cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration and antioxidant protection that removes dead skin cells and impurities, while simultaneously delivering moisturizing serums into the skin

Suitable For All Skin Types

Whether your skin is oily and acne-prone, dry and flaky, or you have combination skin, you will benefit from a Hydrafacial treatment. Even those with sensitive skin can safely enjoy multiple sessions!

African American Skin Treatment & Dermatology NYC - Dr ...HydraFacial is a medical-grade hydradermabrasion system that deeply cleanses, exfoliates, and hydrates the skin. Because these procedures are gentle and target only the superficial layer of the skin, it is safe for all skin types including ethnic skin and dark skin.

HydraFacials brighten your overall complexion and lessen the appearance of dark spots, freckles, or other signs of sun-damaged skin

About 4-6 weeks How long do the results last? One HydraFacial is all you need to give your skin a reboot. But like all good things, the results from HydraFacial eventually fade away — typically, after about 4-6 weeks. Fortunately, you can keep coming back to get more HydraFacial treatments every month.

About

Diamond glow

The DiamondGlow® device is a general dermabrasion device that gently removes the top layer of skin and delivers topical cosmetic serums onto the skin. DiamondGlow unclogs pores and reduces fine lines and wrinkles, giving you a smoother skin texture and a glowing complexion for up to 3 days after the treatment

Patients typically enjoy their DiamondGlow results for an average of 4 – 6 weeks before a repeat treatment may be needed. In addition, we strongly recommend using SkinMedica products at home after your DiamondGlow treatment to maintain your healthy, glowing complexion between your in-office procedures.

30 minutes It may seem surprising, but a DiamondGlow Facial treatment generally only takes 30 minutes

Washing your face immediately post-treatment is not necessary or recommended as it will wash away cosmetic serums infused by DiamondGlow®. Avoid exfoliating agents (retinoic acid, tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, etc.) for 3 days after treatment.

In your Diamond Glow session They typically report some minor discomfort during the treatment, but no pain, as the Diamond Glow facial is completely noninvasive

1-2 treatments per month We recommend 1-2 treatments per month to see continued improvement and glowing results.

Chemical peel

A chemical peel is a procedure in which a chemical solution is applied to the skin to remove the top layers

Results. A light chemical peel improves skin texture and tone and lessens the appearance of fine wrinkles. The results are subtle but increase with repeated treatments. If you have a medium chemical peel, treated skin will be noticeably smoother.

The lighter of these peels tend to last for about one to two months, with follow-up treatments available to help continue to improve your skin's appearance and health. Medium peels usually last for between two and six months, after which another light or medium peel can be used for upkeep

While patients should not feel pain during or after the procedure, the peel may cause the skin to have temporarily increased sensitivity. To avoid irritation or discomfort on your skin, avoid exfoliating for at least 48 hours following a chemical peel.

Peels can be used to improve the appearance of acne scars, melasma, sun-damaged skin, wrinkles, and several other conditions. They can also be used to lighten dark spots. Chemical peels for lightening dark spots use chemical agents that enable the removal of the skin pigment melanin.

A single treatment session is going to deliver some great results to the skin including improved skin tone, smoother skin texture, and much more! However, if you do have skin concerns such as sun damage, acne scarring or deeper wrinkles, more sessions may be needed to achieve your desired results

Common side effects are temporary, and include redness, dryness, stinging or burning, and slight swelling. With deep peels, you may permanently lose the ability to tan. Chemical peels can, however, have more serious risks and dangerous side effects that can be permanent

Those who just need or want light peels can usually get them every month. For more intense treatments, like medium or peels, it's advisable to wait four or six months in between appointments. Those who wish to get deep peels should only do so once every few years.

Chemical peels are minimally invasive procedures that involve the use of a chemical solution in order to destroy the damaged layer of the skin. Once this is done, the skin exfoliates and gets a lighter and brighter complexion. What is the best age for a chemical peel? Dr. Harish believes that using chemical peels in 20s and 30s can keep your skin healthy and fresh during the later years as well. Chemical peels are not just for your aging skin

About

Laser Skin Resurfacing:

Laser skin resurfacing also known as laser peel, laser vaporization or lasabrasion, removes skin layer by layer with precision.

During ablative laser resurfacing, an intense beam of light energy (laser) is directed at your skin. The laser beam destroys the outer layer of skin (epidermis). At the same time, the laser heats the underlying skin (dermis), which stimulates collagen production over time, resulting in better skin tone and texture

The Dos, the Don'ts, and Benefits of Facial Laser Treatment It reduces wrinkles and fine lines. The facial laser improves traumatic scars, surgical scars, and acne scars. It tightens the skin giving one a younger look

The number of sessions will depend on your skin quality, skin depth, and the severity of your wrinkles, acne scars, pigmented spots, and other concerns. Most patients need 3 to 4 laser skin resurfacing sessions for optimal results. But some patients also need a lot more sessions.

Laser skin treatments are incredibly safe and effective, in the right hands and especially with the appropriate specific precautions and post-laser care. After laser resurfacing, follow these steps to maximize your results: Avoid picking any crusting or scratch your skin.

An ointment such as Vaseline® or moisturizing creams such as Eucerin®, or Aquaphor® are then applied. The purpose of using ointments or creams is to prevent any scab formation. In general, the areas heal in five to 21 days, depending on the nature of the condition that was treated and type of laser used.

After the first 24 hours, please wash the treated areas with a gentle cleanser like Cetaphil to gently remove the Aquaphor or Alba Un-Petroleum Jelly. Always wash your hands thoroughly using antibacterial soap before touching the treated skin. Wash your face 3-6 times a day after the first 24 hours.

Traditional facials can provide instant results for smoother skin, however, laser facials offer a more permanent solution for your skin issues. Laser treatments are excellent options for conditions such as acne, sunspots, and other issues that require deep penetration for optimal healing
